What is Paintless Dent Repair? (PDR)?
Paintless dent repair (PDR) is a technique used to remove dents, dings, and creases from a vehicle's body without the need for traditional bodywork or repainting. It is a non-invasive process that involves massaging and manipulating the metal back into its original shape using specialized tools.
  • Assessment: A skilled technician examines the dent to determine its size, location, and accessibility. They evaluate whether the damage is suitable for PDR
  • Access Points: In order to reach the backside of the dent, the technician identifies and creates access points, which may include removing panels, using specialized tools, or reaching through existing openings.
  • Manipulation: The technician selects the appropriate PDR tools, such as metal rods or specially designed dent removal tools, and carefully applies pressure to massage the metal from behind the panel. They use precise techniques to gradually reshape the dent, working from the outer edges toward the center.
  • Gradual Restoration: Through a combination of gentle pushing, tapping, and applying pressure, the technician gradually restores the metal to its original position. They meticulously work to ensure the surface remains smooth and undamaged.
  • Finishing Touches:Once the dent is successfully repaired, any remaining minor imperfections are meticulously addressed. The technician may use blending techniques, specialized lights, and other tools to ensure a seamless finish.
